A 23-years-old British student tried to ignite a piece of explosive equipment in which was tried to his leg. He burnet his leg in an attempt to blow up the explosive device as Northwest Airlines flight was landing on the airport of Detroit. The terrorist is recognized as Umer Farouk Abdul Mutallib. Umer is a Nigerian and an engineering student at a British university. The alleged terrorist suffered with second degree burns injuries. He was trounced by another passenger who also received injuries. The Northwest Airlines flight was carrying 278 passengers and a crew team consisting of 11 members. Umer Mutallib is believed to have connections with Al-Qayeda. It is reported that the 23-years-old British student received the device from Yemen from Al-Qayeda agents. According to the initials reports, the explosive device contained a mixture of powder and liquid.

The $848 Billion health care plan is devised to protect more than 31 million Americans that are uninsured thus providing them with health coverage. The plan would extend benefits for the poor Americans. It includes thousands of dollars for the coverage of low income Americans.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has given Republican stance that people are virtually crying for not to pass this bill.

The polls show a 51% opposition and 31% support for the bill.
