Rumors have been circulated that Jim Bunning is retiring due to the increasing pressure from his fellow Republicans. The party things it would be helpful for the party as senator Jim Bunning’s job approval rate was decreasing significantly. Bunning’s job approval rate was only 29% according to a recent report.
As the senate seat is being vacated by Jim Bunning, candidacy papers are being filed by Democrats as well as Republican politicians. Two prominent Democrats Conway and Dan Mongiardo have filed their candidacy papers for the election to fill the seat of retiring Senator Jim Bunning. Ranchi, Dec 23 (IANS) Jharkhand was Wednesday headed towards political uncertainty with a messy, fractured electoral verdict that gave no clear leads to any grouping. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was pitchforked into the role of kingmaker in the 81-member assembly.
The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliances were virtually neck-and-neck and the JMM followed close behind, making a hung assembly inevitable.
According to the latest trends available for the 81 seats, for which counting was on, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had won five seats and was ahead in 17. The Congress had won three and was leading in 11 constituencies. Its partner, the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha-Prajatantrik, bagged one and was leading in nine seats.

New Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday accused the government of playing with the sensitivities of people on the Telangana issue and reiterated its demand for a roadmap on the creation of the separate state.
What is happening in Andhra Pradesh is a matter of anguish. The government of India has complicated the issue. The state is in turmoil, students are on strike. More than 130 MLAs seem to have resigned. The assembly was not able to function and was adjourned sine die, BJP MP M. Venkaiah Naidu said while raising the issue during zero hour in the Rajya Sabha.
The government is playing with the sensitivities of the people. The government of India has behaved in a most irresponsible and immature manner. This is not the way to deal with the situation. I want the government to come out with a roadmap (on the Telangana issue), he added.
