PostSecret , the project that was initiated by Frank Warren. From anonymous postcards with secrets to a website and the project has now taken the shape of a book; “PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death and God.”
Fober very rightly has declared Warren as the most trusted unfamiliar personality in America. Frank warren has received more than Four Hundred Thousand Cards since he started his project in 2004. Each of these cards tells a secret; these secrets are sometimes funny, joyous and sexual. They are sometimes laden with hope and sorrow.
According to Warren every human is obsessed with secrets and secrets touch every aspect of human emotions. The project has given me a new insight to see things from a new angle and perspective. These secrets have made me familiar with every day trivia that otherwise remained unseen in our daily lives.
The project has turned into Hopeline. The project website provides the opportunity to channel suicidal feelings through it. The project that has established a hotline 1-800-Suicide has gathered thousands of dollars for the cause.
The publication of these secrets has got a mixed reaction. Some of the senders take it as a breach of their trust while others are thrilled and few are afraid with this book. The project has given many a people to vent out their secrets that were heavy upon them and sharing of these secrets has brought relief to them.
The crowd of more than seven million people hitting the site and reading the secrets was astonishing for Warren.
Warren has not fatigued of these mountains of secrets because as he commented everyday brings you more and more surprises. He considers those postcards like a poem or song.
