Shortest day of the year in Northern Hemisphere is considered 21 December. Climatically it might not be as correct as it is considered.
The history of shortest day of the year goes back to Julius Caesar. Julius Caesar declared 25 December as the date of winter solstice in his Julian calendar. When Christianity gained popularity in Rome, the scholars from Christian world coincides, the birth date of Jesus Christ with 25 December as the day was already observed for celebrations and holidays associated with the winter solstice.
Pope Gregory XIII in Gregorian calendar reassigned the shortest day of the year to 21 December and he kept the Jesus Christ’s birthday at 25.
However the day is longest in terms of daylight in the Southern Hemisphere.
The shortest day of the year occurred when earth tilts farthest at its axial from the sun being at maximum distance of 23 degrees and 26 minutes. The solstice results in the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of the days in Northern hemisphere. The winter solstice is also the shortest day of the year for the people living at 23-26 N and 23-26 S, at the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn.
The same is true for the southern hemisphere but on a different date and for southern hemisphere it is June 21 and 22.
The shortest day of the year is interpreted differently in both the hemispheres but with one single commonality of recognizing the birth of Christ, festivals and other winter holidays.

Michelle Duggar 19th baby is fine with the mother as well; the Dugger Baby update suggested that the mother gave birth to another baby through C section and the Michelle and new born are healthy and fine.
A real love story in true spirits, if Tiger Woods would have followed the Michelle’s husband consistency to stick to one woman, he would have more number of kids available with him.
It doesn’t sound different when you ask a mother’s feeling, who has just given birth to her number 19?

Hank Baskett, the American Football Player has become father of a son when her wife Kendra Wilkinson gave birth to a baby boy on Friday. Now they are the proud parents of a baby boy and welcomed their new born son with good wishes and happiness.
It has been reported that 24 year old actress and reality star Kendra Wilkinson gave birth to the son of 27 year old National Football League player Hank Baskett. According to the reports the baby was delivered via C section in a Hospital near Indianapolis, Indiana around 12.35 am on December 11, 2009 Friday.
The new born baby boy is also named as Hank. The baby boy and his mother are out of any kind of danger. The sources told that the mother and son are healthy and the parents of newly born baby are very happy.
The American Footballer Hank Baskett and playboy magazine model Kendra Wilkinson announced their relationship in June 2009, when revealed the pregnancy of Kendra Wilkinson. They got married after a week of announcing the pregnancy in a graceful ceremony at playboy mansion in Los Angles.
During the announcement of pregnancy, the couple was much exited about the good news, they told that they are thrilled about having child together; they also told that they were fully supported by their families, friends and fans.
About the name of the Child, the couple said we have already made the decision to name their son Hank Baskett IV. Hank’s dad, grandfather and now his son are having same name following the family tradition.

The condition of preeclampsia usually occurs after twenty weeks of pregnancy. But there is exception to this general rule as the condition may occur even on an early stage of pregnancy. Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH) is also another “relative” of the disorder. Internationally, Preeclampsia and other diseases causing hyper-tension are the major reasons of sickness as well as death of mothers as well as babies. These medical conditions cause death to around 75,000 mothers and half a million babies each year.

Beast of Kandahar, an aircraft, which was photographed in Afghanistan in 2007, is a surveillance aircraft, confirms US Air Force.
According to the details, the drone aircraft which previously could be seen in photos only is actually an aircraft of US Air Force and the USAF has confirmed its existence. According to the officials, US Air Force was looking for a technology on which the ground forces could rely for its surveillance characteristics. RQ-170 Sentinel, generally known as Beast of Kandahar, is an unmanned aerial vehicle which provides the technical support to the troops appointed on grounds.
The photos of Beast of Kandahar were first published in a French blog few days ago. Previously, the photos were often published in the news papers as it was seen flying in the Afghan Territory. The tail-less aircraft has a 65 feet long wing and have sensor pods installed in the upper edge of the wings. The Beast of Kandahar contains no weapons and is part of the ‘RQ’- type aircrafts. Beast of Kandahar is an unofficial name given to RQ-170 Sentinel as it was first deployed in Afghanistan. It has been manufactured by Lockheed Martin, a company which provides major security technology to the US Defense Department.
Not many details are available about the technology employed in the craft. In fact, the existence of the aircraft was a mystery until the news was confirmed by the officials formally. The photos of the Beast of Kandahar are available on internet.
