Former USC linebacker Rey Maualuga, coming off his rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals, has been arrested on drunk driving charges in northern Kentucky.

Maualuga was arrested at 3:11 a.m. EST today and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and with careless driving, according to Kenton County Jail records.

According to the Associated Press, Maualuga, 23, was being held without bond and no attorney was listed for him.

A second-round pick last April, Maualuga started the first 15 games for the Bengals before suffering a broken ankle that ended his season.

Law is blind. The notion does not suggest that justice shall be given in all circumstances rather it stresses upon the bitter fact that law can not read between the lines and it is blind when all pre-requisites are fulfilled. She has revealed many facts of life recorded on the video tape. The tape is based upon her autobiography. She got married seven times. She told the story in the video how she met her diseased husband, Jay Orbin for whose murder she is serving the sentence. She told how their friendship transformed in to love which further led to their happy marriage. They had a son. She told that his husband was on a business tour when he died in 2004. The court erroneously charged her for her husband’s murder and she has been in the jail for last four years. In the video, she has expressed that she has nothing to do with her husband’s murder rather it broke her from inside. She told her life in the jail is terrible. She remembered her happy days when she lived a very beautiful life. She told that she misses her husband and son very much.

The cook county sheriff Tom Dart along with other officers has been sued by a prisoner, Kenneth Simmons Mays. He has alleged in his suit that the internal environment of the jail is quite vulnerable and he was stabbed by another prisoner in the mouth. He alleged that the other prisoner used a shank for the purpose and no guard interfered to save him from the attack. He also complained the miserable medical facilities to prisoners. “I’m fearful of my life,” Mays writes. “I’m stressed and depress.” He has claimed $2.6 million as damages.

Tom Dart is facing 270 law suits this year. Previous year, the number was 250. Due to this continuing embarrassment, Tom Dart invited the Discovery Channel to assess the plight of the jail with their own eyes and allowed the cameras for coverage to run it on the public channel.

Tom Dart is of the view that the messy, congested and untidy living conditions coupled with the manipulation of hardened criminals result in the mental distress and sickness of the prisoners.

The jail has the “human capacity” of 4000 prisoners but it is stuffed with 10,000 inmates. The jail is filled with murderers and gangsters who are mentally sick and jeopardize the lives of other prisoners. Media has viewing the invitation of Dart as tact to circumvent public pressure mounting on him. That’s why he has allowed the discovery channel to “diverge” the issue in to some other direction as he knows that there will be less chances of proper management of the incoming prisoners whose number is mounting day by day.

Discovery Channel will run the movie in three parts. First part of “Brains and Brawn” will go on-air today at 8 p.m.

Katt Williams who went to jail for attempted burglary has been released. Comedian Katt William was accused of breaking into house and hence ended up going into jail. He was accused of theft as well. The breaking-in stunt by Katt Williams made him to go to the jail. But lately he was released from the jail after a $40,000 bond.

The house which was robbed by Williams was located in a farm house near West Georgia. The owner of the house is record producer named Barry Hankerson. It has been said that Williams was living in the home as guest for last one month as he was busy filming a movie. The movie is being produced by the house owner Barry Hankerson. Williams has been accused of breaking into the house and stealing jewelry and collectibles of worth $3,500. Katt Williams was arrested when police was informed about the theft by one of Hankerson’s employee.

Williams’s lawyer stated that he is innocent and the incident is a misunderstanding which will be resolved soon. ‘We absolutely deny involvement in anything,’ says Williams’ attorney.

When journalists approached Katt Williams in jail, he gave them good smile and there were no signs of anxiety on his face. The county magistrate has released Williams on a $40,000 bail.

Katt Williams is a stand-up comedian who has gained much appreciation since 1999. He makes frequent appearances in clubs. He has also worked in many movies and has voiced cartoons like The Boondocks.
