Oregon State is clearly Back in the Pac-10 game, we hope that things work in California running back Jahvid Best, who was carried off the field after landing hard on the back of the head at the end of a race touchdown.

The word is now that Best has suffered a concussion. He has movement in his extremities, which is good news.

Not much went right for the bears, after Best was hurt, although, as Oregon State rolled to their fifth consecutive victory in Berkeley, 31-14.

Beavers quarterback Sean Canfield continued his hot play. He threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns and he also ran for a score. The oldest already leads the conference in passing, and he may be soaring toward the first-team All-Pac-10 honors.

Beavers improved to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in Pac-10. With a visit to Washington and a road game at Washington State next weekend, have a good chance of playing in the Civil War in Oregon, with substantial involvement on the line.

Oregon State dominated statistically, outgaining the Bears 436 yards to 239.

Best TD obstacle that has hurt the Beavers cut the lead to 14-7 with 6:07 left in the second quarter, but after watching the Bears – understandably – out of sync.
