On the other side, Brenda Warner (Kurt Warner’s wife) is busy in humanitarian work. Brenda Warner and Kurt Warner are the co-founders of ‘First Things First Foundation’ which helps raising money to help needy children. The foundation was established in 2001 and primary motivation behind the organization was to help

the less privileged and to share the ‘blessings with those in need.’ The couple has remained involved in many charitable activities which includes aid to help children hospitals, single parents, and annual trips of children to Walt Disney. More recently, Brenda Warner distributed warm coats among children in St. Louis. It was their ninth warm coats distribution drive. Brenda Warner showed up at Foreign Language Immersion School and delivered a stock of coats for children of the institute.

Brenda Warner is the wife of NFL Quarterbacks Kurt Warner. Brenda was a divorcee when she met Kurt. Kurt Warner adopted her two children and the couple has five children together. Both Brenda and Kurt Warner are very active Christians. Apart from her charity work, Brenda Warner writes too and is a New York Times best-selling author.

He is a national hero and is subject of two movies; Huo Yuanjia was a Chinese Martial artist and co-founder of China’s one of the largest athletic association.

Born in 1868 in Chinese village, Huo Yuanjia was the fourth child among Huo Endi’s ten children. The family’s income mainly came from agriculture. Huo Yuanjia was a weak child and often suffered from asthma and had jaundice which continued recurring after certain periods. His family had a tradition of learning Wushu, a type of Chinese martial arts, but Yuanjia’s father forbid him from participating in learning sessions due to his illnesses. He hired a tutor from Japan to teach his son, Huo Yuanjia, academics and other subjects. Against his father’s will, Yuanjia wanted to learn Wushu. He started watching his father teaching the martial arts to other children secretly and tried to mimic them. He used to practice them at night with his tutor who also had learned some martial arts. An interesting incident made his father believe his fighting abilities. It was in 1890 when a martial artist from another province visited their home. The artist fought with Yuanjia’s elder brother and defeated him in Wuhsu. Yuanjia got up and had a fight with his brother’s opponent and won the fight. The incident made Yunajia’s father believe that he was physically capable of learning the martial arts and hence allowed him to take his classes. In late years, Yuanjia challenged martial artists from neighboring provinces and defeated them. His continuous victories earned him fame.

In 1901, Huo Yuanjia had fights with foreign fighters. It was a time when China was fighting for its sovereignty during the colonial rule. A Russian wrestler, who openly called Chinese ‘weak men of the east’, advertised a fighting challenge to which Huo Yuanjia responded but Russian wrestler steeped back and apologized for the comment. He went to Shanghai in between 1909-10 and accepted a fighting challenge from a British boxer Hercules O’Brien. The two had an argument over the fighting rules in boxing matches and reached to an agreement that whoever would defeat his opponent in the challenge would be the winner but O’Brien never showed up for the fight.

During the same era, Huo Yuanjia established Chin Woo Physical Training Center and co-founded with a friend Nong Jinsun. He died in 1910.

Huo Yuanjia is considered a legend in the martial arts world. He has been the subject of many TV and film productions. TV productions like ‘The Legendary Fok, Fist of Fury, and Huo Yuan Jia are some to be mentioned. Hollywood’s Fearless starring Jet Li was also based on the legendary martial artist’s life.

Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of pop star Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, attempted suicide.

According to the details, 23-years-old Alexa Ray joel had attempted suicide. She was found in her Manhattan apartment by her friend on Saturday. Her friends called 911 and told them Alexa had taken sleeping pills. Police arrived at the scene and Joel was taken to hospital. It was reported that she has taken 8 sleeping pills. The law enforcement agency tells that Alexa told them that she was having poor breathing after taking some unidentified pills. She was rushed to the Vincent’s Medical Center on Saturday noon. Her mother, Christie Brinkley, showed up at the hospital around 4:20 p.m. Alexa was released from the hospital after a few hours. His father, Billy Joel, says that she will be in a stable condition soon.

Alexa Ray Joel is the only child of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley. The two got divorced in 1994. It has been reported that Alexa Ray had been in constant state of depression for past few years. Alexa has been described as emotionally wrecked child and it has been said that she took it really hard when her father married a woman of almost his daughter’s age. Her friend says that the incident might be a ‘cry for help’ from Alexa.

Alexa Ray Joel was dropped out of NYU. She started a singing career and is said to be in a relationship with her band member Jimmy Riot. The two broke up a couple of years ago.

Police arrests angry students of UC Davis campus. Law enforcement agencies arrested dozens of students who were protesting against the fee increase at UC Davis campus. The arrest action was taken against the students when they refused to vacate the administration building.

University of California has announced 32% increase in the tuition fees. The university administration says that increase in the fees was necessary as the state government has reduced the funding of the institute. The administration says that due to the reduced financial resources it has become difficult to manage the budget.

On the other hand, the students of UC Davis have received this news with anger and have protested actively against the university’s decision. The students say it will become almost impossible for middle- class or lower-class student to continue their studies at the university.

The protesting students say that the increase in the tuition fee will spoil those who are financially less-privileged. Hundreds of students marched the north and south of the city and protested against the increase. The protesting mob was carrying playcards and banners with slogans written over it. ‘Education only for rich,’ read one of the playcards.

A voting against the new fee structure was also conducted by the regents of the campus. After the voting, the students demonstrated their protest by sitting in the parking lots and blocking the cars of regents. When the off-time came, the students were asked to leave the administration building and they refused to follow the orders. The police interfered four hours after the usual off-time and arrested almost 52 angry students. These students were taken into the Davis police custody.

The wife of Chris Spielman, Stefanie Spielman who battled against Breast cancer for 12 years, lost her battle yesterday. She died at the age of 42 on Thursday due to breast cancer. Chris Spielman is the former NFL player and a star of Ohio State. Her family was with her at the time of death in her family home at Upper Arlington.

Stefanie was a brave lady who fought with full determination against the dangerous and incurable disease. She was 32 year old when noticed a lump on her breast. She was pregnant also at that time in 1998. She underwent the examination and after checkup she declared suffering from cancer. She decided to miscarriage her baby.

Later on she decided to spread awareness of the breast cancer and did her best to do so. Her husband was also with her in that particular hard time. He supported his wife in real spirit. He dedicated his time for his wife and children. He left his career behind for his wife and children.

They started the campaign of providing information to the young ladies about the breast cancer. When Stefanie lost her hair during the treatment of cancer, he also shaved his head to make his wife stronger.

She participated actively in the breast cancer awareness sessions and helped the Research centre for Breast cancer in Ohio to raise more then $ 6 million for this Nobel cause.

She was well acknowledged by the related associations and organizations for her extensive work in providing awareness of breast cancer. They honored her with awards for the commitment to the awareness programs for breast cancer.

Her husband said, she left this world to meet the lord and we are happy but with pain. He also thanked the people who supported them thought out for this particular noble cause.
