Sehwag makes the second fastest double century in the history of test cricket. Indian cricket lovers have finally got a reason to rejoice! India’s Sehwag has made a rocking double century off 168 balls. He has set up a new record of making the second fastest double century in the entire history of test cricket and has beaten his previous record which he made in a test match against Pakistan in 2005 by making a double century off 182 balls.
Virendar Sehwag has now two records in his basket; second fastest and third fastest double century in the history of cricket. New Zealand’s N.J. Astle tops the list of fastest double century by making a double century off 153 balls. Virender Sehwag has made a total of six double centuries in his test cricket career and holds the record of making five double centuries out of the list of nine fastest double centuries in the test cricket history.
The 31-year-old batsman from Delhi not only put excellent records but his brilliant performance provided a powerful, more stable position to the Indian team. Sehwag’s electrifying performance has made the prospects
of victory even brighter. For team Sri Lanka, it was undoubtedly a really tiring day.
