Diana Donahue gas chamber refers to an incredible story of the last woman who was executed by putting in a gas chamber in a California prison. Diana Donahue’s life and her subsequent execution by gas chamber were featured in a docudrama “Too Close To Home”. Donahue was a mother of six children, as her youngest child died; the death left permanent scars on her mental health. She moved to the house of her son Frank. Diana Donahue became so morbidly possessive of her son that it became difficult for Frank to live his own life. He told his mother that he wanted to live in his own apartment. Diana Donahue went into a rage and threatened to commit suicide. While in hospital; fate took another turn, her son became involved with a nurse named Abby.

Frank and Abby move to another apartment much to the chagrin of Donahue. She made Frank to come to the apartment, where she was living every night after work, instead of letting couple live their own life. Despite this Abby became pregnant with Frank’s child. “Mama’s Child back”. She paid two thugs to kill Abby.

Police caught the murderers and trial against Dona hue started. The trial proved as sensational as the story of Donahue’s life. During the whole Trial Frank tried to save his mother!

Donahue was sentenced to death. As Diana Donahue was led to the gas chamber she asked about her son. Frank was not there, he was trying to get clemency for his mother!
