Gordon Gecko is a character from the movie, Wall Street. The character was played by Michel Douglas and the portrayal was so life like that Michael received an Oscar for the character of Gordon Gekko. The story of the film is the true picture of Wall Street and its greedy brokers. Gordon Gekko is a broker always in search of insider information to raid the organization. Bud – Charlie Sheen is starting his career in Wall Street. He is desperate to interact with Gordon Gekko, who has become a role model for Bud. Incidentally Bud’s father is totally against such practices. Bud’s chance comes in a party where he gives Gordon Gekko some inside information. To the utter delight of Bud, he finds the order to buy the stocks next morning.

It’s the start of Gordon Gekko and Bud’s relationship. Gekko not only starts showering wealth on new comer but also starts encouraging him to play dirty. Bud’s information about a paper company makes Gordon Gekko to buy a large number of stocks in the company. It is where Gordon Gekko delivers his famous “Greed is Good” speech.

Bud’s father works with an airline named Bluestar Airlines. Bud proposes a plan to acquire Bluestar to Gekko. Plan involves saving the money by gaining the Union Concessions and then spending the money on expanding it. However Gordon Gekko in his greed plans to cut the jobs, which means that Bud’s father would be rendered jobless.

A sequel to the movie is under production in which Gordon Gekko would return.
