Bodybugg
Bodybugg looks much like a common wrist watch and can be worn either around the wrist or around your biceps. Bodybugg manufacturers claim that it is the most accurate device to indicate the calorie consumption by the body. The device is being marketed as the lifestyle. The device employs 4 sensors that are attached to the lower surface of the device, that touches the body. First sensor is “Accelerometer”. Accelerometer measures the physical activity or the motion by taking into account the g-forces. The second sensor on the lower surface of the device is “heat flux sensor”. This sensor is used to measure the heat emission by the body. As calories are burned heat is produced and the sensor records this dissipation. Third sensor measures the Galvanic response. As a result of the physical activity or stressful conditions body consumes calories and sweat is produced. This sweat makes the skin more “conductive” and the phenomenon is known as Galvanic Skin Response. By measuring the GSR the device estimates the calorie burning by the body.
Fourth and last sensor is temperature sensor that employs sophisticated electronic thermometer to indicate the temperature variations.
Bodybugg can be used by weight conscious people to monitor the calorie consumption round the clock. However it must be borne in mind that Bodybugg is not some food or direct help in losing fat. Its just a measuring device. Moreover the people wearing the armband become too much concerned with the numbers instead looking at their food intake and exercise. As you buy the product, you are freely provided a consultation session with the expert.
