Oregon State is clearly Back in the Pac-10 Hunt, now I hope that things work in California running back Jahvid Best, who has taken the state court after landing hard on the back of the head at the end of a race touchdown.

The word is now Best suffered a concussion. He has movement in his extremities, which is good news.

Not much went right for the Bears, after Best was made for men, although, as Oregon State rolled to their fifth consecutive victory in Berkeley, 31-14.

Beavers quarterback Sean Canfield continued his hot play. Jet for 342 yards and touchdowns, and also because he ran for a score. The oldest already leading the conference in passing, and he may be soaring toward the first team All-Pac-10 honors.

is Rep. Joseph Cao (R-LA), that of the Republicans who voted yes to the House Democrats’ bill for health care?

Cao was first elected to Congress in 2008 by the solidly Democratic district in New Orleans and obtained a shocking victory over Democratic Rep. William Jefferson, who was accused (and was later convicted) on charges of corruption. Throughout his life, he was a child refugee from Vietnam, a former Jesuit seminarian and a lawyer.

Cao district voted 75% -23% for Barack Obama in 2008, but Cao was able to beat Jefferson in December elections (held at that time due to rescheduling of some congressional elections in Louisiana, because of a hurricane). Cao had held on to vote for this bill – which is strongly pro-life and wanted full assurances that abortion could not be financed – but his vote for final passage after passage of the amendment Stupak, could give him a good card to play with his Democratic voters.

Ironically, shortly after Cao was elected, the GOP House boasted of his upset victory as a sign of the return of the GOP, and submitted a course for future victories.
